Options

The Component Inventory is an optional feature that may be activated or de-activated from the Main Form menu bar at the top of the page.

Click the "File" menu item and check or un-check the "Inventory Functions are Enabled/Disabled"

Overview

The Component Inventory System is configured to operate either as a Semi-automated process, a User Entry process or a combination of both processes.

In order to acquaint the first time user with the inventory process, the system is installed with some items configured as inventory items.

To re-set Inventory items for all records in a component database to zero:
  • Open the Main inventory module from the Main Form | Component Menu | Inventory Adjustment.
  • Check the Component Clear Inventory Buttons... checkbox.
  •
  • This will enable the clear button in each component module.

The semi-automated system will maintain a running inventory of loaded rounds and all load components, adding loaded rounds and removing components as the loading process is completed then removing loaded rounds as shot coordinates and targets are entered for each firearm. When loaded rounds are removed from inventory, empty cases will be added back into the Cartridge Case inventory record.

For either process to work properly, all components that are used to record a load for any firearm should first be entered into each of the respective component databses and adequate stock values maintained to allow the automated process to continue..

Each load component should then be entered from the component databases into the Load Record.
