Target and Shot Records

Back to: Precision Records

Vital shot coordinates, target information, atmospheric conditions and sight information is keyed to each individual firearm and evaluated on this page.

Shots are keyed to a target, the target is keyed to a load, and the load is in turn keyed to an individual firearm.

The muzzle velocity is calculated by applying a formula which uses the ballistic coefficient that has been recorded in the Bullet List database .

Additional vital statistics are calulated from the chronograph readings and shot coordinates.

After all values are entered and compiled, the data may then be automatically transfered to the Precision Ballistic Module of the software where trajectory, sight settings and wind deflection are then calculated.

Values that are calculated from the shot information:

1. Actual muzzle velocity
8. Average M.O.A. of the shots from the group center.
2. Group size in inches
9. Std. deviation of the shots from the group center.
3. Group size in minutes of angle 10. Extreme horizontal spread of the shots.
4. Vertical center of the group from the aim point. 11. Std. deviation of the horizontal spread of the shots.
5. Horizontal center of group from the aim point. 12. Extreme vertical spread of the shots
6. Extreme spread of the chronographed velocities. 13. Std. deviation of the vertical spread of the shots
7. Std. deviation of the chronographed velocities.
