Alternate Ballistic Coefficients
When the ballistic coefficient is calculated, the value is stored in a database field that is designated as the "Calculated Ballistic Coefficient". The Precision Ballistics Module calculates a trajectory based on a BC value that is stored in a field that is designated as the "Working BC Field".
Clicking the "Change Work BC" button will enter the calculated value into the Working BC Field.
If a Bullet Vendor advertises a specific ballistic coefficient for a bullet, that value may be entered into the Advertised BC field as a reference value. The Advertised BC may also be manually entered into the Working BC field to be used for drop and trajectory calculations.
If a ballistic coefficient has been determined by velocity loss over a measured distance or by target drop-distance methods, that value may be recorded into the field labeled "Tested BC" and also manually enter into the Working BC field. If the value is manually entered, be sure to click the Post button on the Database Navigator.
